I'm currently employed as Senior Developer at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica (Milan, Italy) since November 2024.

Engineering is a Digital Transformation Company, leader in Italy and constantly expanding worldwide: 15.000 employees and more than 70 companies in 21 countries. I am working in the area of financial services, in particular maintaining a software product and migrating it in a microservices-AWS cloud architecture for an important client in the petroleum industry.

To date, my main professional activity has been contributing as a senior developer to the migration of a legacy management system—commissioned by the client Q8 and responsible for the geographical areas of Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium—from a monolithic MVC architecture to a microservices-based architecture hosted on AWS.

My technical contributions have included:

• Proposing, sharing, and disseminating specific solutions, protocols, and tools to enhance the efficiency and robustness of the infrastructure and microservices communication.
• Backend development of REST APIs using Spring Boot and Java 17.
• Creation of functional front-end interfaces with Angular 16.
• Supporting CI/CD management and defining infrastructure resources on AWS, both via the console and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Operating locally in a Linux environment (WSL), leveraging LocalStack and AWS SAM to emulate AWS services and streamline development and testing workflows.

Additionally, I have acted as a reference "champion" within the business unit to provide mentoring and to promote the adoption and effective use of generative AI tools to improve productivity.

The project has also involved collaboration with foreign resources, requiring effective English communication both in writing and speaking.

I have also been involved, though to a lesser extent, in maintenance, on-call support, and company-wide activities, all while continuously engaging in training initiatives—both company-provided and self-directed. Throughout this period, I have successfully balanced my professional responsibilities with ongoing studies towards a Master of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence.
